  • Ask for references - Anybody can furnish two or three, get a complete list even if you don't check them all.
  • Check with the irrigator's supplier - You need to know if he pays his bills on time.
  • Ask for a scaled drawing of the installation - You will need this someday for repairs.
  • How long has the irrigator been in business - This will help you know the irrigaor's expertise and if he will be there when you need him later,

SUNRISE SPRINKLER SYSTEM'S WARRANTY IS UNSURPASSED

PROPER HEAD PLACEMENT CREATES EVEN DISTRIBUTION OF WATER
There is a difference in the equipment used. Cheap heads may look identical to a quality head and even be made by one of the major manufacturers. You can save a few dollars by buying these in the short run but you will soon have problems. The seals around the pop up stems will leak. The spring that retracts the stem will stretch and cause the head to stay up in the spray position. Some rotating heads are open case and debris prevents rotation. Even the spray pattern differs. Sunrise rotors are designed to have an even distribution of water over the entire throw.
Everyone wants to know what is it going to do to my water bill? If you water your yard and flower beds completely as a sprinkler system should do, you will save money and water. If properly designed the sprinkler system will distribute the water evenly. It will do so at a time of day best suited to water and have minimum evaporation. It will run the appropiate amount of time in each area to provide adequate water without excess run off. It will shut itself off and you won't walk out in the morning to find you forgot to turn the hose off last night. You might consider a water meter just for the sprinkler system. It will save you money and allow you to know exactly what your irrigation water is costing you.
